A Self-Driving Car
For the Audi Autonomous Cup, I wrote software to enable an autonomous vehicle to navigate a variety of complex driving scenarios. At the start of Summer 2018, I asked the 4 best engineers I knew at my university to enter into the AADC 2018 with me. From applications of the university around Europe, we were of the 10 selected to participate.
Audi provided a 1:8 scale model of their Q3, and we spent the next 3 months developing the entire software stack from scratch. Ultimately we fell short of goal in the qualifier, but it was a great experience to apply the theory I had learned from taking online courses in my free time.
My Role:
I designed and implemented the localization and path planning modules of the car. Algorithms involved in this development included EKF, UKF, Occupancy Mapping, and A* graph search.
Skills:
C++
Project Managment
